MUG!

I just realise 1 thing that i have been thinking of blogging.. but kept forgetting about it.

Was in wala-wala i think 2 weeks ago(??), BS outing with the usual gang and also welcome jingwei to Singapore. Chloe brought her notes in and study.... and up come the topic...

"Why singaporeans call studying as mugging?? Arent mugging like assaulting??"

So, i went to dictionary.com and find this definiation for mugging,

Mug-ging [muhg-ing]

Mugging

A Singapore colloquial term for intensive studying; a person who is studying intensively - derived from British colloquial term to mug up.


LOL! Now i know... what to tell others when they ask, why singaporeans use mugging for studying!
